ACJC Family Outing at The Yoga Farm Collective
On Sunday 25 October, ACJC members and their families swapped the grandstand for green paddocks and blue skies at our ACJC Family Outing at The Yoga Farm Collective in Londonderry. It was a relaxed afternoon with friends and family, with plenty of fun for all ages.
A long table and a good old barbecue
Under the verandah, long red tables filled up with a barbecue lunch, and the grill never stopped. Kids made the most of the play barn, parents caught up in the shade of the trees, and conversations stretched happily across the afternoon. It was the kind of unhurried day that is hard to find in a busy Sydney calendar.
Friends old and new
We finished the day with a big group photo on the lawn, with members, parents, grandparents and kids all squeezed into one frame. Seeing the ACJC community together, laughing and swapping stories, was the highlight of the day.
Ponies, paddocks and plenty of smiles
The little ones were the stars of the day. One by one they climbed the step and took their turn on the led pony rides, with big grins, cowboy hats and a gentle pony that took it all in its stride. Between rides there was horse feeding, face painting and farm games on the lawn, and for many of our young guests it was their first time this close to a horse.

The face painting table was a huge hit. Spider-Man, butterflies, spider webs and one very spooky pumpkin all made an appearance, and the kids proudly showed off their new looks. Down at the paddock gate, little hands reached out to say hello to a curious horse.
